Yes, I did it. Months and months of procrastination and three nights of sleepless nights later and it’s now finally over. I actually thought I was going to fail the thing, but I ended up not doing so bad (according to my counselor.) Here’s the proof.

As this will already be stale for some of you I will spare the enthusiasm and get right to the point, this has to be one of the funniest voicemail messages I have ever heard. There are some questions whether or not it is legitimate, nevertheless it is hilarious and a must-hear.

On a recent Spurs trip, we were asking one of our sponsors who works at Jack in the Box some funny stories or experiences with the company. The funniest story he had was when an operations manager was late for a meeting and called his boss to tell him he was running late. As he was leaving the voice mail message, he witnessed an accident and went on to provide “play by play” of the incident. After telling us the story, he promised to send us a copy of the voice mail and here it is. This is the actual voice mail message. It was passed along and forwarded so many times within Jack in the Box; it crashed their voice mail server.

As I have recently acquired an iPod Mini, I thought this was quite a cool little tutorial on how to add additional disk space…300G to be precise!

Jon, one of the few MAC zealots at my place of employ, has a neat little application launcher for his dual-G5 called Quicksilver that I’ve been dieing to find for Windows. As it turns out, Quicksilver is only ‘made for MAC’. Well, I took the effort and found one that was close to it called AppRocket, and boy is it wonderful!

Hacked!

Well I guess I’ve learned my lesson (I hope) regarding open source software and maintaining versions. Especially ones that are so popular! Last week we were hacked. Since then I’ve patched my PHPBB version to the latest “stable” version. Hopefully (knock on wood), we’ll be somewhat safe. We did lose about 3 weeks of posts however, so I’ll be trying to remember what it was I had written about.
